Last entry was about the very beginning of my discovery into the world of metaphysics and spirituality.
But, first let me tie these stories to the theme of being happy, together. I like metaphysics and I like discovering more about myself. The more I can find out about myself the better I feel. It makes me happy to find some new or different method to run myself thru. My life hasn’t always been happy and that’s one reason why I now like to dig into my deeper self, especially the patterns, behaviors and rules that keep me from being happy. So, the more I uncover what doesn’t work in my life, the more I can heal myself , the more I heal myself, the more space I can fill up with happiness.
Now back to the story. After graduating from high school I continued to play with astrology. I would go to bookstores and find all kinds of information. And I probably when overboard a bit. There’s so much information about astrology out there, and to tell the truth I never really understood how to use charts and such.
But, I kept my ears open and would occasionally hear some interesting metaphysical story and I would zoom out to find whatever info I could about it. After awhile someone turned my onto the idea of psychics. “What! There are people who can tell you your future”? How do I find these people.
Well, turns out there were lots of folks who used or knew of a psychic. And I got turned onto a little old lady who lived in Peru, Indiana. For a whole dollar she would tell you anything you wanted to know. I quickly contacted the woman and set up an appointment, grab a friend and off we went down to Peru. This was an hour and half drive, but I needed answers. What were the questions I had? I can’t even remember to this day, probably something about find a relationship.
Once at the home of this psychic, she asked me into her living room and asked to hold something personal of mine, so she could attune to me and whatever. To tell you the truth, I don’t think I really asked where the answers were coming from. And, Boom, the 30 minute session was over. I must have liked the experience, because I went back about 3 more times. I even escorted someone down so that they could have their first experience.
I don’t remember the lady’s name and I have since moved to California, but this memory is a fun one. And, there have been more visits to other psychics, I even found out my grandmother even visited one.
Psychics nowadays are not uncommon. Many people have visited one or had some similar experience. Since my first visit I have had many more excursions into the world of psychics. Haven’t visited one for many years now, knowing my future isn’t such a hot topic for me. Besides, I have developed my own set of spiritual tools that work for me.
The truth is we all have the capacity to receive answers or direction from Source. We just have over the years given up the practice of directly asking Source and most of all we have stopped listening.
Keep digging into yourself, the most important thing you can do for yourself is to clean yourself out, Spiritually. It’s not hard.
