Life Coaching

4 04 2010

In these next few posts, I will try to give you some background on me. That way you will have a better understanding of where I’m coming  from.

I’m a Life Coach and a energetic Healer,  and it’s time to talk about coaching.

About 1o years ago I met a very important and powerful person who changed my life. But to meeting this person I was working a full-time job in newspaper production. I was good at what I did , but in the back of my mind I was unconsciously unhappy.

Then, I met Laura Whitworth, the co-founder of The Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael, California. Little did I know what she did, but over a very quick discussion she coached me and started me on a path of introspection that is still continuing this day.  My homework for that session was to re-create my resume (cause I wanted a different job) and to check out the Coaches Training Institute, in other words investigate  life coaching as a possible job option.

So, a month later I was sitting in my first coaching weekend workshop. And on the final day I knew I had found a set of tools that I needed. Learning coaching skills or even participating in a coaching session, it is one of the best methods to dig into yourself. Introspection is one of the most important things to do for yourself.  It was for me.  An unexamined life is a life where you don’t know, your values, your choices, how you make choices, and how do you want to live your life.  By spending some time doing introspection of yourself you are consciously taking control in how you want to live.  I see many folks out in the world who haven’t put any energy into themselves and in many cases they’re angry or upset with how their lives have develop.

Maybe that’s why I took to coaching, I want to control my life and the way it plays itself out. A metaphor that I use, is life is like a car. Are you in the driver’s seat?  Or the passenger’s seat. If you a passenger then you don’t have any say in where you end up. As a coach I want to help you get into the driver’s seat and steer the car to the designation that would please you.

I’m very grateful that Laura Whitworth came into my life and pushed me (very easily) towards a better life and towards be conscious of who am I and what is important to me.

Don’t you want that for yourself? Call me and let’s talk.
