Around Christmas I got the idea stuck in my head about finding bubblegum flavored soda. It may have been a song that mentioned this soda in the lyrics (I don’t remember the song), but this idea started to drive me on a quest. The search for experiencing bubblegum soda, cause I have never tasted such an item.
Using the internet I did find one company that makes blue bubblegum soda, the company “Jones Pure Cane Soda” makes a variety of flavored sodas, but my intention was the bubblegum, didn’t matter that it was blue I just wanted to experience this drink as well as what the heck does bubblegum soda taste like.
After the internet I went out looking for the soda. Come to find out that bubblegum soda isn’t a big-ticket item and because it’s a not a big item for most folks I couldn’t find it. I did go to a local big liquor store, seems they do carry “Jones” products, but bubblegum is not stocked as easily as the other flavors. It’s been weeks since I started this search.
Along the way I did find bubblegum flavored vodka. I bought some and it’s not a bad drink, much milder than I thought it would be. And, since I’m not a hard liquor drinker, I had to pace myself with this drink. And, still I wanted to find the illusive soda.
Well, last week I went into another big box liquor store and found the blue bubblegum soda, I bought it and had my first taste later that night. It’s too, it a different experience than what my imagination had created. It’s a good drink, I can’t say that I would drink this soda everyday, but I’m glad and happy to have satisfied my mind.
Now, why am I talking about bubblegum soda on this blog. Well, what makes me happy about this experience is my mind, my imagination. I love how my brain gets curious about these eccentric and quirky ideas. And once the curiosity kicks in then the journey really begins. And it’s the journey to get to the satisfaction. The journey also makes for an interesting story.
Chase your curiosity! Let your mind latch onto any idea that it wants, then step out on the journey to find an answer or find the experience. You just might be surprised what you might do or find.
It’s all about experiencing happiness thru a different avenue.
